Scott Tower has been practicing Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine since 1988. A graduate of Yale University and the San Francisco College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, he has also trained in China, Taiwan, and in the UK.  

He began studying with Dr. John Shen in 1986 and worked closely with him for 14 years. He has been studying pulse diagnosis with Leon Hammer since 1989 and is a senior instructor of the Shen-Hammer Pulse system. He has been teaching pulse diagnosis since 2001, and has offered continuing education classes in Germany, the UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.

He began his practice in California where he ran a multidisciplinary clinic, and then spent 8 years working in the UK before returning to the US in 2009.  He is currently lives and practices in Asheville, North Carolina.
